MAKE SUMMER HOLIDAYS AMAZING

First Choice is launching a game-changing new booking service – where we do the hard work for you!

Here at First Choice, we’re proud of the vast selection we offer our All Inclusive customers. But sometimes the sheer choice can be a little overwhelming.
So, for our latest offering? We’re now launching First Choice Mystery Holidays*.
Intended to take the stress out of booking your dream holiday, our travel tool does the hard work and picks your destination for you.
After all, life’s too short to say no.
All you need to do is book one of our First Choice Mystery Holidays, turn up at the airport with your passport, sun hat and suncream and let us take care of the rest.
Don’t worry about picking Spain or Greece, umming and ahhhing over 7 nights or 14, or selecting a pool or sea view – just let the dice (well, First Choice…) do the deciding! Just think, the biggest decision you’ll have to make is what flavour ice-cream to have at the buffet and which slide to test out first.
Whichever hand you draw, you’re sure to be greeted with sun-kissed beaches, delicious buffet spreads and more fun activities than you can shake a stick at.

So you watched Danny Willett win the US Masters, and now you want to hit the golf course? Then take a look at these 3 holidays where you can tee off and top up your tan…

When Danny Willett won the US Masters Tournament at the weekend (special thanks to his brother, PJ Willett, for the hilarious Twitter commentary), he became only the second Englishman to wear the famous green jacket after Nick Faldo, 20 years ago.
And if watching 28-year-old Willett has inspired you to hone your own skills on the golf course, you’ll be pleased to hear we offer holidays to some top golfing destinations. Head to any of the hotels below and you’re within striking distance of a first-rate golf course. Not only that, but there’s also loads on offer for any family members who might be less enthusiastic about the whole golf thing…

Tee off in the Algarve

A holiday to the Algarve wouldn’t be complete without heading to the nearest green for a round or two. This popular southern edge of Portugal boasts championship courses, an enviable climate and world-class golfing resorts. Choose from more than 30 golf courses, including San Lorenzo Golf Course – one of the most famous in the Algarve – and Sir Henry Cotton’s Championship Golf Course. For some truly unforgettable scenery, the Quinta da Ria Golf Course – just a 30-minute drive from Faro International Airport – is worth a visit. It has views over the Atlantic Ocean and the 18-hole course that forms part of the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve.
Stay at… The Holiday Village Algarve, in Balaia. It’s just down the road from the 9-hole Vale de Milho golf course, which comes with a clifftop setting, rolling green countryside and lots of beach views. There’s a putting range for practice runs, and budding Danny Willetts can also get a professional tutor to show them the ropes.

Grab a caddy in the Costa del Sol

Earning the nickname of the Costa del Golf by keen golfers, the Costa del Sol is home to more than 70 courses. That includes the country’s number one course, Valderrama Golf Club, which hosted the Ryder Cup in 1997, and the established Parador de Malaga golf course, where the greens were laid in 1925. Each course has a different character and degree of difficulty, with everything from tricky doglegs to deep bunkers to test your skills.
Stay at…the Globales Playa Estepona which is right on a sand-and-pebble beach between Estepona and Marbella. It’s had a full-on makeover, which includes a new waterpark that opened in summer 2015. The quartet of golf clubs in this corner of the Costa del Sol include Valderrama, La Reserva, Sotogrande and La Roque, all of which are around a 30-minute drive from Estepona.

Practise for your next major in Mexico

Mexico’s sunny climate makes it an ideal destination for golfing holidays, both on the Caribbean and Pacific coasts. Add some ancient Mayan ruins, white-sand beaches and pristine ocean into the mix and it’s easy to see why Mexico is a popular spot for keen golfers as well as families. Most of the golf clubs are in and around Cancun, like the Cancun Golf Club at Pok ta Pok, located between the Nichupté Lagoon and the Caribbean sea. Further south is the 18-hole Riviera Maya Golf Club – ranked in Mexico’s top five – which extends out over 220 acres of jungle and takes in the region’s famous cenotes, or underwater sinkholes, and lakes.
Stay at… the Sensimar Seaside Suites & Spa in Kantenah Bay, on the Riviera Maya. This adults-only hideaway comes with beach waiters and canopied day beds. If you can tear yourself away, the Puerto Aventuras Golf Club is just down the road, while the Xcaret ecological park is a 20-minute drive away.
